China Study Trip
The students are excited and ready to go on their study trip to China. Once they return they will put together a presentation about their experiences and share with us some of their new knowledge. Thanks to Mrs. Godard for the Mandarin lessons this week.

Thank you also to Ms. Zhanna’s local dancers. The high quality of dancing in Atyrau is always to be admired.

Kazkah Musicians in Kazakh / Russian Language Classes
All the children greatly enjoyed the presentations by some of Ms. Nurgul’s university music students who came to our Kazakh/Russian language classes last week. The children listened to a variety of musical instruments and learned something about each of the instruments that were played.

Student Council 1: Movie Night
The movie night on the 19th of March was very successful as Student Council raised 22,000 Tenge. We would like to thank the community for all their support.  There will be another movie night on May 21st and it will be free! Thank you again!

Student Council 2: Beauty or the Beast; Friday 16th April
PreK to Grade 4 have the chance to take part in a “Beauty Or The Beast” dress up day on Friday 16th April. As the title suggests the children can come to school as either a beauty or a beast. We’ll meet in the lobby at 8.05 for pictures. The Middle School students will be on their China Study Trip and so this will just be an elementary event.

Ice-Cream
Thanks to Mrs. Laidlaw and Mrs. Levy for donating ice-cream to the children to end our day at school.

Spring Break
Today was the last day of school until Monday 12th April.
The teachers will be attending a series of professional development courses. The Spring Break is timed to coincide with our main professional development opportunity during the year. We hope families are able to enjoy the break and we look forward to seeing everyone back in school nicely refreshed in April.
